Kindful Kids Weekly

Quote of the Week

"Love can only rest when we understand that we are all beings, for the world has space for everyone." -- Alicia Freedman (age 8)

An 8-Year-Old's Words Of Wisdom: The Human Web

"My name is Alicia and I am 8-years old and I have two sisters. They have really inspired me to gather ideas for the Human Web. In the summer holidays of 2023 I went to Wales. The beach helped me to understand the journey of lifetimes. And, to recognize global things that might be changing in my own life. I think words have so much power to express what people may be thinking, and when I felt this courage there was a whole new journey to discover. I started to write a book."

This week, we share with you words of wisdom and inspiration in Alicia's book, The Human Web, which was graciously gifted to the Kindful Kids community by her family!  We hope you enjoy reading this gem of a book with short, poetic verses on beautiful themes relating to love, kindness, generosity and our interconnection with all beings. Please feel free to share it with others!

Title: The Human Web
By: Alicia Freedman (age 8)
For: Adults & Children :)

"When she was 8-years-old, my granddaughter Alicia felt inspired to write a book of love and interconnectedness of all things after visiting the South Wales coast. She was so enthusiastic to begin that she asked her mother to wake her at 4.30am so she could start! Over several months, her writing evolved, all her own words, and it’s simple truth and beauty has reached out and touched many people. I hope you enjoy reading these pages written from the heart with love."
-- Pauline Groman (Alicia's grandmother and friend of the ServiceSpace community in London)
