We often talk about honoring small gifts. More than its smallness, though, the value of such offerings is its thoughtfulness. A small gift offered with sensitivity to the recipient's context can land in very deep place. Few weeks ago, I was making "Papad" during the Awakin Circle. To minimize distraction for the circle, I had the kitchen lights off. As a result, some parts of the Papad were left uncooked and I asked the volunteer servers to remove those parts before serving it. This last week, we got tagged -- with three small LED lights that can pasted right on top of the stove. One can't help but smile. :) Attached was this handwritten note:
