[For those of you in Berkeley, Karma Kitchen is on tomorrow from 11AM to 2:30PM. Do come by, and flex your generosity muscles!]

In the last year, we were thrilled to pilot Karma Kitchen in many new countries like Singapore and France and Malaysia. In April, another KK is set to start in Bali, with Mexico and China on the dock as well. On our website, with some new features like an interactive map, you can see all the 17 locations with photos and stories -- like how the volunteers at KK Indonesia all ended up being CEOs who took on a challenge to serve at restaurant (which they had never done before). Let alone the 200+ guests that were served that day, the transformations in the volunteers themselves continues to ripple to this day.

It's very inspiring to see the global -- and universal -- appeal of generosity. Some of you might remember our volunteer, Minah Jung. When she walked in to KK Berkeley, many years ago, she was profoundly touched by the idea of transacting with a pay-forward heart. She decided to do her PhD on the topic, and recently published a ground-breaking paper: Paying More When Paying for Others It was the result of more than eight careful experiments, and even under the scrutiny of academia, it underscored the power of altruism.

Thank you, all, for believing in our shared values.
