A recent article featured on DG about the inspiring elderly duo consisting of a blind man and an armless friend who planted trees in China, inspired a DG subscriber to share an old Academy Award winning short film from 1987 that shares a beautiful story resonant with the DG piece.  

My husband and I watched it and were touched by the simplicity of the animation visuals of the 80's but mostly by the heart-warming story it narrates.  Here's the video.
