Pay-It-Forward Healing

As some of you know, in July of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Colorectal Cancer. I got this diagnosis right in the middle of the Laddership Program I was taking. The timing of these events highlighted that the uncertainty and fear I had about embracing gift ecology paralleled similar fears and doubts about alternative healing modalities. Transaction economies promise you “guaranteed results and payments” in the same way that allopathic medicine offers prognosis with 89% survival rates.

Stepping outside the traditional ways of living/making a living offered an opportunity to strengthen my faith in a universal good or divinity that doesn’t always look the way I think it should. Almost 8 months later, I have directly experienced how healing (as well as other forms of capital) embraces us in the most intimate and nurturing ways when we choose the path of natural healing and/or gift ecology. I have so much gratitude for all the prayers, hugs, smiles, treatments, consultations, and multiple forms of medicine that have been gifted to me from across the globe (even by individuals whom I have never met in person).

In an attempt to pay forward this plethora of love and care (as well as the gift of being invited to join the Laddership program), I’ve put together an online class that shares all the healing protocols that have been given to me from the Service Space community, my Hawaiian ancestors, and enlightened teachers I have been blessed to encounter. The class, called “Healing Dis-ease with Aloha,” is offered freely to anyone who wants to be part of an online healing circle centered around love (Aloha), community (Lōkahi), kindness (Akahai), and humility (Ha´aha´a). May we all find peace and health in the present moment.
