It was touching to witness these amazing human beings give each other good bye hugs filled w/ tears of joy on the Silent Monday, as this evolution of Casa de Paz comes to a close and their paths transition forward. Sam and Hiromi headed off to Japan for a few months as they prepare to give birth and be in tender family care post-birth; and Panchito and Eva will be birthing the next chapter in the Casa de Paz legacy of serving the East Oakland community from a different home in the same neighborhood. Ways in which they have anchored the beautiful work in the community have touched countless hearts and inspired so many of us so often!
