A few months ago, I was caught up in tracking the number of videos that were being added to the KarmaTube site as the number inched towards 2,000. I was all set to mark the milestone here on this feed. Then, I got involved in setting up a new system of managing the video write-up process with Pavi, and noticed by happenstance a few days ago that the number of videos had surpassed the 2,000 mark. So, here is the big reveal: TA DA! KarmaTube now has 2,028 videos up on the site.
It has been a true joy to work with all the volunteers and behind-the-scenes coordinators and tech wizards to add to this curated library of inspirational, social change videos that are touching the lives of our community of engaged viewers. This pledge on the most recent Video of the Week, Song for Rain, exemplifies the impact of KarmaTube videos on our viewers:
Make the world a better place by unconditionally shining my light wherever I go and for every person, place, or thing. There is so much good in the world now, and there can always be more!
Song for Rain is also a perfect example of the light that KarmaTube shines on little-known filmmakers, this one, an animation student, whose vision of bringing peace and positive energy to this world through her work fits so nicely with what we do at ServiceSpace.
In deep gratitude for the inspiration, the learning, and opportunity to serve in this way.
