The KarmaTube team consists of video scouts, video reviewers, writers, syndication outreach, coordinators, tech, liaisons to KT community, and so on. Amazing to ponder the many moving parts behind the relatively straightforward concept of packaging an inspiring video with a description and three be-the-change suggestions. After recently enjoying some opportunities to collaborate across roles, we wanted to share one such mini-project--which has been done from time to time in the KT past as well--a collection of some of our favorite KarmaTube videos from 2017:

I. Playing For Change -- Soccer Without Borders
Abhinav writes: It is one of the many videos that showcase tragic suffering that children across the globe unfortunately face and how simple acts of kindness like just playing soccer can be so morally uplifting. The video to me is very moving considering the level of difficulties that humans have created in this world and also educating on how simply can we help and heal children from their traumatic past.


II. My Year Reading a Book from Every Country in the World
Betsy writes: Loved her enthusiasm, commitment, journey, and insight. Only about 5% of books published in the UK are translations. In this day and age! Inspired me to ask for her top 10 favorite books for my birthday, which my husband purchased. Am reading a book from Pakistan now. Fun to see how alike we are despite our differences. Thank you, KarmaTube, for broadening my horizons and deepening my love of humanity!

III. Neema Village: A Place of Hope
Emily writes: I have always loved infants and children, and have wanted to adopt myself. I was so moved by the faith of the founders, and the selflessness of the work that they do. It's very moving to see how easily we can use our gifts to give back, and the profound goodness that comes from that.

IV. Jim Carrey's Graduation Speech at 2014 MUM Graduation

Joao writes: It is an extremely deep and meaningful graduation speech wrapped in humor and some good laughs. I particularly liked how open and sincere Jim Carrey elaborate on so many important topics that usually are tackled in very serious and formal speeches, but he managed to be witty and relevant at the same time, truly inspiring.

V. What Future Are You Living Into Being?
Chris writes: I really appreciate the earnest challenge and unvarnished hope offered in this video message. So many things come together in this short package that make KarmaTube a special container--from the filmmakers that allow us to syndicate, to the writers, commenters from KT community, etc, etc. Close seconds for me were a tender video about a big-hearted foster father, and a deliberately-paced one about healing work with horses, titled The Herd.



VI. The Gnomist: A Great Big Beautiful Act of Kindness
Virginie writes: I love this story because it is about a mom and her sons working together anonymously on offering more fantasy and mystery, more kindness and smiles... more love! to their community.. My daughters and I watched this story together and it inspired us to keep on doing more acts of kindness for the people around us. Anonymous acts of kindness are amazing to do as a family!! :)

VII. A Cook and a Janitor Care for Abandoned Elderly
Kristy writes: The men in this video show true humanity in action. They step out of their personal lives/concerns and follow their hearts into caring, listening, helping and sharing time and energy with their fellow human. It’s just gorgeous.

VIII. My Love Keeps Me Warm
Mia writes: I like it's simple loving message ... and of course, my forever favorite (though not from 2017) is: Grateful: A Love Song to the World
