Ana Valdes-Lim and I were roommates at Gandhi 3.0 in 2018. We became good friends right away. Ana is an accomplished actress who also teaches acting in a prison in the Philippines. Some of the women in the prison make Wisdom-Craft-like Heart Pins. Ana very generously shared a bunch of them with me.

Because Ana and I both like animals, I decided to offer them at our Pet Blessing Service at the Ventura Center for Spiritual Living. Each Pet got a pin from our sisters overseas. They were distributed by Amy Michelson, who helped us with coloring and encouragement at the Berkeley After Mindfulness Conference. Amy is an artist, designer, and color expert. At the Pet Blessing, she helped each person find the perfect pin for their pet.

It's always an honor to join with others devoted to the blessings that flow to and from the Animal Kingdom. This year was most special, because of the heart pins and the web of connection, rippling back and forth across the globe, from India, to Ventura, to the Philippines, into people's lives, and who knows where else. Love and gratitude to all.
