As a last step in the process of inducting new smile card shippers, Geoff gives a call to the interested shipper to answer any questions that they may have, share his own experiences, etc. As the arrival of a new shipper in the queue is a totally random event, we keep sending requests to Geoff at totally random intervals of time. During one such day (when we had a sudden spurt in the number of people interested in shipping smile cards), I had written the following in my email to Geoff: "And thank you for never saying no to all such requests that we keep sending at totally random intervals to you. Oh - I forgot - we never give you a chance to say nay. We just assume that you are super-pumped-up-as-always and would never say no :)". And Geoff's response to my email was in the true-Make-Someone-Smile style: "Your note made me laugh! :) Whether it is one or a few, I never mind working on these requests. I really enjoy speaking with them because I never know what will happen. Sometimes I get to share in their enthusiasm at the opportunity to help out, which always makes me smile. Other times I can tell they are a little nervous so I get the chance to help them feel comfortable with everything." Words can never accurately capture the impact made by Geoff in our service journeys. So here is a deep bow of gratitude to Geoff .....
