Last month, HelpOthers.org received a bunch of amazing ideas for the $100 kindness contest that we couldn't just pick one winner -- there were two! One individual "Would go to a senior community and find out birthdays being celebrated that month. Then buy a flower for each that represents that month, attach ribbon, smile card and YOU ARE LOVED! to the flowers and deliver on their special day." Another wants to "Use 100 dollars to buy some mini notebooks, permanent markers and thick plastic bracelets. On a bracelet, I would write my initials in small letters with the marker. Then I would write about someone who means a lot to me in the notebook and give the notebook, marker and bracelet trio to them. Also, on the inside cover of each notebook, I would tape a smile card and an explanation of the trio to encourage the people who receive them to write their initials on the bracelet, write about someone who is special to them in the notebook and pass it on… If there were any money left over, I would use it on other Random Acts of Kindness such as smile stones and flowers."
