cindrella's father: jaanu (our 4 yr old) was fast asleep in her car seat and it was around 930 pm. jay called me out to help him with some selection... i stepped out of the car into the store and as we were finishing with our selection we noticed that jaanu's kolhapuri slip ons were missing. i returned to the car and found one of them near the car...but the other one was gone. jay returned to check if i found it and i couldnt find it anywhere near the car. oh god..no...now jay was going to find jaanu's slip ons no matter what....and i just wanted to get back home...i was getting all antsy about it.... but it didnt matter...jay had to find it...jaanu had told him that she wanted to wear those with her paavaadai (indian skirt). thinking back i was sooo out of the moment...swirled up in thoughts of i should get home, put her to bed...tomorrow's school, make some dinner for us... but jay was sooo into the moment..with a presence that being in the moment gives....and find it he did after two trips in and out of the stores...also the slip-on wanted to be found by him...it was near a small raised wall in front of the store... much gratitude cindrella's father...
