Vijay Mahajan, one of the most respected people in the rural development field in India, recently went on a Shod Yatra -- "an extended grassroots enquiry into the lives and livelihoods of poor people."  He started from Sevagram on 30th Jan (Gandhiji's death anniversary) and ended on April 18th at Pochampalli (the place and date when Vinoba Bhave started the Bhoodan movement).   Some of you will enjoy his blog.
