Vishesh, I should be the one thanking you. I am smiling ear to ear..What a beautiful beautiful outward expression of your love and kindness to your parents! Its truly these little things that will always lay a special place in your (your sister and your parent's) heart for years to come. My brother and I used to do the same for my folks especially on special occasions like mother's day or father's day or birthdays and they loved it and we too enjoyed putting all that love ... but to do so on a random day is even more beautiful. Its funny, we get so much joy of doing something like this from time to time but parents do this on a daily basis and it can be a thankful duty.
One thing i didn't share this past Saturday but will do so with you is this ... of all "debts" in our life, the one that is most difficult (near impossible) to repay is that of your parents. The gifts that they have freely given with love are endless ... but more than just food, shelter and clothing ... they have taught you what unconditional love means, they have taught you what real giving and empathy means, they have taught and continue to teach us so much but many times we become blind to it because we either take it for granted or just get older. If you look back in history at many of the great sages and wise men, even in more modern times, you will notice there is a certain quality to the parents that have afforded such a child whether it was Vinoba Bhave's mom (read Chapter 3 of Vinoba Bhave's "Moved by Love"), the mother of Paramhansa Yogananda or even looking at the parents of so many elders in the ServiceSpace ecosystem ... like yours. I'm sure that if you keep serving them, many more doors of joy and insight will continue to open.
I have been so impressed with your questions and insights during our calls. My hope is that you continue to dive deep within yourself for the rest of the internship but more so continually striving deep within yourself.
Thank you for taking the time to even send me this email - very KIND of you :)
