When I read these reflections from Krishnamurthy Sir, I remembered one verse from my favourite Geeta which mentions that नैनं छिद्रन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावक: । न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुत ॥ This verse explains in entirety the fact that the soul is permanent. The body is just a temporary home of the soul but we love our home rather than the dweller and hence get into this sadness of death and impermanency. I am sure I have been living for ages and will live for many more so I have no fear of impermanency.
