After independence from Great Britain, Mahatma Gandhi was on his way to Parliament when an elderly lady stopped him for advice. His aids tried to tell Gandhi that the Parliament was waiting for him and he should hurry. He was late arriving to Parliament. When he traveled by ship to England to accept Independence from the Queen, a journalist asked Gandhi why he traveled 3rd class. His reply was that there was no 4th class. After meeting the Queen, the same journalist asked Gandhi if he felt that he had worn enough clothes to meet with the Queen (he was dressed in a dhoti and sandals). Gandhi replied that the Queen appeared to have enough for both of them.
