Thank you for this Birju. I deeply appreciate the intention behind it and I think the discussion here is valuable to anybody, as we all are in positions every day to give of ourselves. But this is particularly of interest to me at the moment as I’ve recently shifted into a position of being able to be more philanthropic in a larger way. The discussion is reminiscent to me of Maimonides‘s eight levels of giving, which is of course very hierarchical, but I appreciate the discussion here and it feels to me to be in a way Talmudic, i.e. thinking very deeply about the subtleties even if not to come out with one single or correct answer, but just the act of openly thinking it all through and sharing to become a better person.
