I love the gift economy idea of giving without expectation. It reminds me of the Amish and how they take care of each other without need for money. The community will build a new house for a new person moving into the community and the new person will use their talents to help others - be it plumbing, gardening, education, etc. Each helping each whenever needed, knowing that all is provided always.
