Jerry, I so much resonate with your words and I am not American, a man or in my 50s :))) The doing myth is everywhere. I too question from time to time, what am I if I am not performing? But then I just listen to the heart :) and a smile comes to me :) I think we all know deep inside that people don't like us for what we do but how we make them feel.
