Very well written. Though I do not know all the people referred, I can visualize how our beloved professor must be taking the whole situation in his stride, as he rightly would and should. Having seen my father accept and rise above his situation (with his left body paralyzed), I have matured from feeling upset, to feeling numb and now feeling a sense of being protected by the Almighty. Easier said than done is "Everything happens for the good". But I believe "Everything happens for a reason" and if you look deeply, every incident, good or bad inches us a little bit towards our spiritual development. It is an opportunity God gives us to delve within ourselves and learn and nurture our undying spirit. Because that is the only way to live in this world, to participate and not to participate.
Kudos to Sir's spirit and I agree it would not be justified to feel bad for him.
