Sometimes it is difficult to keep this in the forefront especially when we are so focussed on short-term relief. On the concept of wealth, I feel the value of our currency is not reflective of the long term value. For example, we waste so much paper because it’s “cheap” and forget that it cheap only because the currency doesn’t take into account the long term cost of deforestation caused by paper. Do we need a new value paradigm in our financial systems?
