Ouch, indeed! I could hear myself..."We have to cover this AP curriculum before the test," feeling that I would be doing a disservice to the students if I didn't. But who does that really serve? I will always ask, "do you understand?". But it takes humility and courage to answer that honestly. And how many sitting in a classroom full of other's will do that when the answer is "no?"
