"Every flower is a sacred mandala" says Maria or Mima as she is lovingly called by her grandkids. My dear host this week in the city of good omens Piacenza, Maria spent the first 30 years of her life in Milan. She soon left the city life to be in the countryside and moved to a beautiful farm with her family and dogs. She invites like-hearted pilgrims to come home to her own version of The Urban Ashram, where she grows her food, practices yoga, meditates on wild flowers and bees, takes long walks and pampers all her guests with authentic grandma Italian recipes. She even hosted an Awakin gathering with 5 friends and 2 dogs while I was there. With family like this, life is good, and the journey is liberating at the heart level.
