April 2019 - London Gatherings

We look forward to seeing you at upcoming Awakin Circles along with a Kindful Kids Circle, where we've got some fun plans to explore the theme, "Empathy Begins at Home", with parents and children together. This week, we also have an inspiring guest in town from the Gandhi Ashram visiting Ani's Awakin Circle on Wednesday and giving a talk in Edgware on Thursday -- see below for more info.

Save the date -- Sunday, June 16th -- when our dear friend Nimo is bringing 17 children from the slums of India to share their labour-of-love dance/drama show, Jai Jagat ("One Earth Family")! More info below...

Awakin Circles: Harrow, Mill Hill, Shoreditch, Pimlico

Each month, you're invited to join Awakin Circles at locations around London, where we meditate for the first hour, engage in a circle of sharing based on a reading, and conclude with a home-cooked vegetarian dinner together.

An Invitation for All Families: Kindful Kids Circle on April 28th!



We are delighted to welcome families for the upcoming Kindful Kids Circle on Sunday, April 28th from 2:00-5:00pm in Pimlico (Central London), where we plan to collectively explore the theme "Empathy Begins at Home." Our circles have included families with kids ranging in ages from 2-16, all are welcome! To learn more about previous gatherings, check out these blog posts from our first ever Kindful Kids Circle on "Kindness" along with the more recent gathering with Nimo on "Gratitude." Save the Date: Jai Jagat Tour in London (June 16th @ UCL)

On Sunday, June 16th, you're invited to attend Jai Jagat ("One Earth Family"), an inspiring and moving dance/drama show performed in English by 17 beautiful children from the slums of Ahmedabad, India, sharing a message of love and hope for our planet. Directed by our dear friend Nimo, the heart behind Empty Hands Music, this labour of love show has been produced for Mahatma Gandhi's 150th anniversary and honours the values he cultivated through real life stories of inspiring people from around the world. Inspiring Guest From Gandhi Ashram (Mar 27th & 28th)

This week's Awakin Circle at Ani's on March 27th has a guest joining from the Gandhi Ashram family in Ahmedabad, Ashish Agrawal. With an engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from IRMA, Ashish founded Paryavaran Mitra ("Friends of the Environment") to uplift the lives of rag-picking women in a holistic manner with dignity and respect. You are also warmly invited to attend Ashish's talk on Thursday, March 28th from 8:30-10:00pm in Edgware at Shishukunj Bhavan (25-27 High St Edgware Middx HA8 7EE).
